The Insiders group seems split in thinking that Onyx is the shinier black, or Smooth Black is the shinier black. Being Mystery Box Addicted I have seen a lot of black! But I don't have any right now and I'm awful at comparing photographs. Here's what I DO know: Definitely not Shadow Black, she's not brushed. She DOES have a matte finish. She's wrinkly and a has a moody/spooky vibe (it is never too early to think about Halloween amiright?). She's fairly stiff. One vote for Onyx is that she does NOT seem to have any color transfer when I gave a moderate rub with a microfiber towel. The closeups look a bit gray, but that's just too much sun washing out her color. Received & stored in pet/smoke/fragrances free studio that is well separated from but attached to a home with pets.
